Northside Social

3211 Wilson Boulevard Arlington, Virginia

The building at 3211 Wilson Boulevard in Arlington, Virginia, has a rich history dating back to its construction in 1921 as the Clarendon Citizens Hall. Originally serving as a community gathering space, it was strategically located near the Clarendon trolley station, a key stop on the Washington-Virginia Railway that facilitated transportation and spurred suburban development in the area.

Over the decades, the building underwent several transformations, reflecting the evolving character of the Clarendon neighborhood. In the mid-20th century, it operated as Hurt Cleaners, and later became known as the Flea Market Store. In the early 2000s, it housed Murky Coffee, a local coffee shop.

Recognizing the building's historical significance and potential, BCN undertook a comprehensive renovation and restoration project, preserving its architectural heritage while adapting it for modern use. In 2010, the revitalized space reopened as Northside Social, a vibrant coffeehouse and wine bar that has since become a central hub for community engagement and social gatherings in Arlington. BCN’s founders are partners with the Fedorchak’s as owners of all restaurants under the Liberty Restaurant Collection.

This transformation not only honors the building's storied past but also exemplifies BCN's commitment to thoughtful development. Check out more here: Northside Social VA https://www.northsidesocialva.com/location/arlington/
