When these clients, looking to build a home for their large, multigenerational family, first came to BCN, they shared coastal-inspired photos - but through the iterative design process, their true vision was discovered: a contemporary, clean home that would cater to their dynamic, expansive family. The result was 6802 Wemberly Way. Listening carefully to their priorities, the BCN team crafted a space that would foster connection, day-to-day function, and the ability to host large gatherings.
The home’s exterior features stacked stone and Nichiha accents, paired with oversized black casement and offset windows, creating a striking, modern aesthetic. A grand pivot door welcomes guests into the home, setting the tone for what’s inside. From the foyer, you’ll see the floating oak tread stair system, complemented by a sleek cable railing and a dramatic 3-story stone wall– a stunning visual focal point.
Every inch of the design is carefully considered for this large family, who are constantly pulled in different directions. BCN ensured that the home offered ample space for everyday life, starting with an oversized mudroom to handle the hustle and bustle of a busy family. Expansive windows throughout the home provide views of the outfitted backyard, making it an ideal space for both relaxation and socializing.
Entertainment was another focus in this home’s design. The back kitchen is perfectly equipped to service large gatherings and directly connects to the patio. A screened porch and pool house with outdoor kitchen surrounded by a pool, spa, extensive patio and turf playing field takes outdoor time to the next level.
The public living spaces are all designed to accommodate this big family. A dramatic two-story family room centers around a striking fireplace and overlooks the backyard. An oversized casual dining area ensures there’s room for everyone. The basement is a true extension of the family’s lifestyle, featuring a bar, movie theater, gaming room, and home gym, all finished with the family’s custom logo.
